Notable Cases and Legal Opinions

Rosenhaus Sports v. Star Sports, Inc., 3D06-189, 3rd DCA, 2006: Successfully litigated case of first impression before the 3rd DCA regarding the issue of whether one agent in the National Football League is compelled to arbitrate disputes with other agents in the National Football League. The Ruling by the 5th DCA agreeing with our client, Rosenhaus Sports’ position that arbitration was required. The ruling essentially precludes any agent in the National Football League from suing another agent in the National Football League for tortuous interference and other alleged wrongful conduct. All Disputes must be resolved through arbitration pursuant to the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Lisa Vivian v. Giovani Schembari, 4D07-1041, 4th DCA 2007: Successfully argued to the 4th DCA new issues regarding a parents ability to relocate with a minor child in the State of Florida. The statutes and case law have changed in the recent years and this case has established new laws and parameters within the State of Florida regarding this issue.
